In response to the recent tragedy in El Paso, Entravision hosted a special El Paso Strong Telethon on Sunday August 18th to support victims and their families. The telethon helped raise over $200,000 with donations still being sent or delivered to the station. The telethon benefited Paso del Norte Community Foundation’s El Paso Victims Relief Fund with $30,000 designated specifically for the Victims’ Scholarship Fund established by Community en Accion to provide scholarships for the orphans and children of victims of the tragedy.
Entravision would like to thank our team in El Paso, all the employees, volunteers and donors who gave their time and commitment on this important day to support the victims and family members. Entravision is committed in our support of El Paso and we’ll continue to share future outreach efforts.
